Gift cards

In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up and manage gift cards in the Bookla Platform, including how to create them, sell them manually, track their usage, and customize their design.

What you will need​

  • Access to your Bookla Platform account
  • Permission to manage plugins and gift cards
  • (Optional) A PDF design for the gift card

How to add the Gift Cards plugin​

  1. Go to your Bookla Platform account
  2. Go to the "Plugins" section
  3. Find the "Gift Cards" plugin and click the "Add" button

After adding the plugin, it will be shown in the sidebar panel.

How to create gift cards​

  1. Go to the "Gift Cards" section
  2. Click "+ New Gift Card"
  3. Enter the parameters:
  • Name
  • Amount
  • Currency
  • Validity duration
  • Expiry date
  • Tax settings

How to add a gift card manually​

If a person buys a gift card in person but wants to use it online, you can add this purchase in your Bookla Platform account.

  1. Go to the "Contracts" section
  2. Click "+ Add Purchase"
  3. Select the gift card
  4. Set the status
  5. Click the "Create" button

How to add usage for a gift card manually​

If a client comes in person and wants to use a gift card, you can manually add its usage in the Bookla Platform.

  1. Go to the "Contracts" section
  2. Find the client's gift card and click the "View" button
  3. Click "+ Add Usage"
  4. Enter the amount used and click the "Create Usage" button

How to add a design for the gift card​

  1. Go to the "Gift Cards" section
  2. Click the "Add Design" button
  3. Choose and upload the PDF
  4. Add the Bookla parameters "Expiration date" and "code"

This PDF will be added to the confirmation email sent to the client.
