Service Add-ons

This tutorial explains how to use the Service Add-ons plugin in Bookla. It covers how to install the plugin, create single add-ons and add-on groups, configure pricing and parameters, link add-ons to services, and set up time-based add-ons for duration-based pricing.

How to add the Service Add-ons plugin in Bookla​

  1. Log in to your Bookla Platform account.
  2. Click "+ Add Plugin".
  3. Find "Service Add-ons" and click "Add".
  4. The plugin will appear in the sidebar.

How to create add-ons in Bookla​

  1. Open the Service Add-ons section.
  2. Click "+ Create Add-on".

You will have 2 options:

  • Create Add-on: a single item
  • Create Add-on group: a bundle that clients can choose from

Creating a single add-on​

  1. Click "Create Add-on".
  2. Enter the add-on name.
  3. Optionally, add a description.
  4. Configure the parameters:
  • Price
  • Currency
  • Tax Percent (%) and select whether it is inclusive
  • Min Quantity
  • Max Quantity
  • Sort Order

Creating an add-on group​

  1. Click "Create Add-on Group".
  2. Enter the group name.
  3. Optionally, add a description.
  4. Add members.

Member 1 will be the default one. Configure parameters for all members:

  • Price
  • Currency. This can only be selected for the first member and will apply to all others
  • Tax Percent (%) and select whether it is inclusive
  • Sort Order
  1. To add more members, click "+ Add member".

Linking add-ons to services​

  1. Open the "Service Add-ons" section.
    All existing services will be displayed.
  2. Click "Link" next to the desired service.
  3. Configure the parameters:
  • Select the add-ons for the service
  • Choose whether the add-on is required
  • Optionally override the price for this service

How to create time-based add-ons​

  1. Click "Create".
  2. Click "Create Add-on".
  3. Enter the information:
  • Title
  • Optional description
  • Price per time unit
  1. Click "Create".
  2. Open the "Service Add-ons" section.
  3. Find the relevant service and click "Link".
  4. Select the add-on.
  5. Enable "Multiply by duration".
  6. Enter the duration units.
  7. Select the multiplier rounding.
  8. Click "Create".
