Working Hours

Defining working hours for your resources is crucial for managing their availability within Bookla. Without specified working hours, resources are considered available 24/7, which may lead to unintended bookings.

Options for Setting Working Hours:

1. Days of the Week:

  • Specify which days a resource is available for bookings.
  • Example: A business operating Monday to Friday would set resources as unavailable on weekends.

2. Time Frames:

  • Define one or multiple active periods for each day.
  • Example: A resource could be bookable in two shifts:
    • Morning: 08:00 to 14:00
    • Evening: 16:00 to 20:00

3. Priority:

  • Determine which rule takes precedence when working hours overlap due to different configurations.
  • This feature prevents booking conflicts and ensures system clarity.

4. Activity Period:

  • Set a specific date range for when a set of working hours applies.
  • Useful for:
    • Seasonal operations
    • Special events
    • Temporary schedule changes
  • Example: Extended hours during holiday seasons or limited hours for a temporary exhibit.
